1. Veterinary Disclaimer

LabraFit is an educational wellness companion, not a veterinary clinic. The information, calorie targets, body condition scores, and activity suggestions provided in the app are intended to support conversations with your veterinarian, not replace them. Always consult a licensed veterinarian before starting, stopping, or changing any weight-loss or medical plan for your dog.

2. AI Body Analysis & Image Processing

LabraFit uses AI analysis powered by third-party providers, including OpenAI, to review photos of your dog and estimate a Body Condition Score (BCS), health risks, and a recommended calorie plan. When you upload photos, LabraFit securely stores them in Firebase and transmits them to the AI provider for processing. Images and derived data may be briefly cached by those providers in order to deliver and improve the service, subject to their security and retention policies.

Because AI systems can occasionally be inaccurate, all analysis results are provided "as is" and must be interpreted by you and your veterinary professional. Do not delay or avoid seeking veterinary care because of something you read in the app.

3. DER / RER Calculations & Safe Weight Loss

LabraFit calculates your dog's Daily Energy Requirement (DER) using the veterinary standard Resting Energy Requirement (RER) formula:

RER = 70 × (Weight_kg)^0.75

DER is computed as RER multiplied by a factor that takes into account sex, neuter status, and daily activity level. For dogs above ideal weight, LabraFit applies a strict safety rule: daily calories are set so that expected weight loss does not exceed approximately 1% of current body weight per week. This "slow and steady" approach is based on published small-animal nutrition guidelines and is designed to protect muscle mass and joint health.

DER values in LabraFit are estimates only. Your veterinarian may recommend a different calorie target based on medical history, medications, age, or concurrent disease.

4. Family Sharing & Data Access

LabraFit supports "Family Sharing" so multiple caregivers can log walks, meals, and weights for the same dog. When you invite a family member, you grant their account permission to view the dog's profile, AI body scans, calorie targets, and journal entries associated with that dog. You are responsible for only inviting people you trust and for revoking access if a caregiver should no longer see this information.

5. Subscriptions & Transformation Plans

LabraFit Premium unlocks adaptive transformation plans, advanced AI reports, and personalized feeding guidance. Plan duration and weekly targets may vary based on your dog's starting weight, BCS, and health profile after each AI scan. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device account settings. Partial refunds are not provided for unused periods as long as the current billing term remains active.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload offensive, unlawful, or non-dog images into the service and not to attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the AI analysis. LabraFit may suspend or terminate access for abuse, fraud, or behavior that puts animals or people at risk.
